About Me

Dave is the name I used in Pokemon X, where I was also known as Lil' D, so if you read this and feel the need to call me Lil' D go for it. My name is Marcus Small. I attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where I'm studying to become a high school English teacher. Besides Pokemon there are plenty of other things I enjoy doing. My favorite part about Pokémon is the competitive aspect. I would like to think I'm pretty good at competitive battling so my mission is to help people get better. The meta-game in Pokémon may seem complicated but it's not that bad, once you get the hang of it of course. I didn't think I would ever get the hang of competitive battling but here I am! Out strategizing people gave me such a rush, and that's one of the main reasons I play. All a person needs to do is find what they enjoy in competitive battling and go from there. With me I like single battles, so I knew I would make a team that wrong well together, and that's what I'll be focusing on in the blog.


Anyways, the number one thing I enjoy more than Pokemon would have to be sports, specifically football. I love playing football, and I'll play it any chance I get. My favorite football team to watch is the Oregon Ducks, despite going to UNLV. Once I'm done with college I want to teach in Oregon, and if I don't teach there I at least want to visit Oregon. Other interest of mine are pretty cliche, I like hanging out with my friends and, if playing Pokemon didn't give it away, I like playing video games. My friends and I like to do a lot of shenanigans. In high school we called our selves "Team Winning," but like all good teams we had to go our separate ways. Those moments in high school are what really made me want to become a teacher. Next to my human friends my dog is my best friend (shown in the picture). I helped give birth to him after all, giving him a special place in my heart. Like I said earlier I enjoy playing video games. RPGs are favorite, hence why I like Pokemon, but other than RPGs I mainly play NCAA Football/Madden and Call of Duty games. When I'm not doing one my other interest I'm usually watching videos on YouTube, Netflix, some kind of anime, Modern Family, ESPN, or the NFL Network. Anytime I'm on the computer I have YouTube open. There's not much verity to what I watch on YouTube, it's mainly gaming videos like Pokemon, Madden, Call of Duty, and MapleStory (which is a MMO RPG I play). Netflix and anime can of go hand in hand, but I'll only watch anime that makes me laugh more than it makes me want to look away because I hate blood and stuff like that. Modern Family is the only real show I watch on TV because it, in my opinion is the best show on TV. When it comes to ESPN and the NFL Network I watch them before I go to sleep to get caught up in the sports world. That is pretty much my life. Family wise I have a mother, younger brother, and a grandmother who I live with. They're good people. One last tad bit of information I could share is I'm a Brony. My Little Pony and a guy named MisterFantasmo taught me the values of life. If it weren't for those two I would not be as positive as I am today, and I want to share my positivity with others, because it's not fun to be down in the dumps. I hope you enjoyed!
